I always get a kick out of listing my favorite horror movies, so when I was browsing through the friends list of the MEDIUM Livejournal, I stumbled across this friending meme created by
fletcherism (who made a couple of great 6x02 Icons for MEDIUM), and scanned through it and figured it be fun to fill this one out, if only to scramble my brains once again while I tried to remember my favorite horror movies.
Name: Sakura
Age: 20 (and a half)
Location: Mission City :P
Favourite Horror movies: Dawn of the Dead (2004), The Thing (1982), 28 Weeks Later (2007), The Blair Witch Project (1999), The Faculty (1998), The Strangers (2009), Quarantine (2008), Cloverfield (2008), 28 Days Later (2003), I know What you Did Last Summer (1997), Silent Hill (2006), 30 Days of Night (2007), Alien (1979), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Resident Evil (2002), Resident Evil Apocalypse (2004), Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), Underworld (2003), Event Horizon (1997), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), Frailty (2001), Wendigo (2001), The Eye (Original/Remake), Dark Water (Japanese Original), 6teen: Dude of the Living Dead (2004 Animated TV Movie), The Grudge (2004 Remake), Shaun of the Dead (2004), The Dark (2004), The Mist (2007), I Am Legend (2007), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009), Hallowen H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
Favourite Horror villain: Probably the Gray Children from
Silent Hill. Their part in the film (and in the original game) is rather small, but their reveal and their appearance, coupled with that awful screeching wail, scared the besjeus out of me the first time they showed up and attacked Radha Mitchell's character (Rose DaSiliva) and SH1 Protagonist, Harry Mason.
Favourite Horror hero: That would probably be Michael (Jake Weber) from the 2004 remake of
Dawn of the Dead; The variable "Jack of Trades, Master of None" character of the film. He got's a crappy personal life (sans his blooming relationship with Ana, Sarah Polley's character) and can't seem to hold down one job, but is absolutely dependable in a pinch with his quick thinking and planning. He is often regarded as the unofficial leader of the Crossroads Mall Group.
If you were in a horror movie, would you be the villain, the friend, or the hero?: Probably the friend, I can't see myself as the hero of the tale, bearing so much responsibility of whatever situation on my shoulders. Damned if I don't try to keep everyone else alive, though with my ideas of my own :D.
Describe your death scene: Running for my life, preferably distracting the enemy so the other can escape, until I find something to use as a Kamikaze Weapon against my enemy (assuming I last that song).
Do you read horror themed magazines? If so, which ones? I read Fangoria Magazine from time to time, but not much else. I'm pretty sure Frequently BD (Bloody Disgusting).com, STYD (Shock Till you Drop).com, and HorrorMovies.ca don't count as reading a "magazine" =D, but they do help me keep up with Horror movie news regardless.
Other fandoms: MEDIUM, SUPERNATURAL, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Journyman, American Gothic, Xena: Warrior Princess, 6Teen, Total Drama Island/Action, X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, BTVS and ANGEL, Firefly (Serenity), Resident Evil (movies/games), MARVEL Comics, DC Comics, R.O.D. THE TV, Ghost Whisperer, Kurt Russell Movies, Digimon: Digital Monsters, Uncharted (Drake's Fortune/Among Thieves), Heavenly Sword and other things I can't think of right now.
Locked, public, both? Unlocked. My Journal is basically a housing for my graphics and fanfiction. I really don't post anything personal concerning my life and friends online.
Anything else?:Nothing I can think of, nope.
