Probably the massive amounts of Barbie Dolls I've gotten over the span of my 20 year lifetime so far. That and the Extended Editions of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings films.

Recently I've reacquired my interest for the video game series, Tomb Raider and went looking for the livejournal communities I found two years prior to my joining LiveJournal.com. After watching a walkthrough for Tomb Raider Underworld for a second time, just brush up on current events in the Tomb Raider universe, then proceeding to watch the X-BOX360 Exclusive Level's "Beneath The Ashes" and "Lara's Shadow" (both of which were a perfect example of boring. If anything I think both side stories would've been better off told in a cinematic-esque format with no gameplay, as the gameplay is extremely Repeative and Sleep-inducing), I decided to see if I could find any decent conversation among the raider fans.

Was it programed to stop before or after it took my head off? )

A Bunch of images I found for Jake Weber on one of my Google Image trips. Sufficed to say I am most pleased with my results, as I've never seen half these images beyond a 180x180 sized image on Wireimage.com (which is like so unfair).

If you could only listen to one CD for the rest of your life, what would you choose and why?

If I had to choose a CD to listen to for the rest of my life, then it would probably be Imogen Heap's "Speak For Yourself"; I never get tired of hearing it whenever I pop it into my CD Player.

LAST NIGHT, I watched the dullest episode of SUPERNATURAL's fifth season yet and ironically it dealt with the probably the most annoying character in the history of the series (next to Sam Winchester): The Trickster. And once again, I came face-to-face with the very reason I stopped watching the series to begin with: Fangirls (or Fanboys); I swear they eat anything Kripe tosses to them and say its "awesome" or "zomg, shocking!", thus creating a hive-mind type situation in which everything concerning SPN is awesome and there are no flaws whatsoever.

Basically, I thought last night's episode was the finest example of poor writing, directing, acting, and filler material, kind of like the episodes of any show that decide to use the "Groundhog Day" Scenario.

In the span of three or four days, I decided to take a shot at making some video games icons for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Sufficed to say, it was alot harder than it usually would be if I were making Icons for, say, actual flesh and blood figures caputred in images. The images I managed to save varied from contrast and color, and they were a bitch trying to get just right to my own eyes. Most of them were too high in yellow or green colors, resulting in this nasty puke color (I get sick just thinking about it). Other times they were so dark I couldn't get a decent look with any the textures or even as a stand alone. So the result is fine batch of trial and error, celebration and sucesses.

I mean, I had an easier time with the Among Thieves screencaps, as opposed the Drake's Fortune screencaps, which seemed to be tweeked to show every damn pixel on the entire image as to show its technical achivements on the PS3 (I hate whomever made those screencaps BTW). The early concepts for Drake (where he's wearing the sneakers and baseball T-Shirt) were so flat, that I could get but only so much life into them (hence why most of them are in black and white). I can honestly say I had the most fun with the character renders, because they were a little closer to what I was used to in a image. I was constantly forgetting how to spell Chloe (I always ended up spelling it "C-h-o-l-e"), so forgive the error(s) in the Among Thieves batch when you hit the character render for Miss Frazer. And on a final note, while I itend to make my own screencaps (should miss computer play nice with YouTube's HD Function), there were may too many Promo images of Chloe and too few images of Elena Fisher; A major visual federal offence IMHO. Anywho, enjoy the icons! I had alot of fun making them.

I always get a kick out of listing my favorite horror movies, so when I was browsing through the friends list of the MEDIUM Livejournal, I stumbled across this friending meme created by [info]fletcherism (who made a couple of great 6x02 Icons for MEDIUM), and scanned through it and figured it be fun to fill this one out, if only to scramble my brains once again while I tried to remember my favorite horror movies.

Name: Sakura
Age: 20 (and a half)
Location: Mission City :P

Favourite Horror movies: Dawn of the Dead (2004), The Thing (1982), 28 Weeks Later (2007), The Blair Witch Project (1999), The Faculty (1998), The Strangers (2009), Quarantine (2008), Cloverfield (2008), 28 Days Later (2003), I know What you Did Last Summer (1997), Silent Hill (2006), 30 Days of Night (2007), Alien (1979), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Resident Evil (2002), Resident Evil Apocalypse (2004), Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), Underworld (2003), Event Horizon (1997), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), Frailty (2001), Wendigo (2001), The Eye (Original/Remake), Dark Water (Japanese Original), 6teen: Dude of the Living Dead (2004 Animated TV Movie), The Grudge (2004 Remake), Shaun of the Dead (2004), The Dark (2004), The Mist (2007), I Am Legend (2007), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009), Hallowen H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
Favourite Horror villain: Probably the Gray Children from Silent Hill. Their part in the film (and in the original game) is rather small, but their reveal and their appearance, coupled with that awful screeching wail, scared the besjeus out of me the first time they showed up and attacked Radha Mitchell's character (Rose DaSiliva) and SH1 Protagonist, Harry Mason.
Favourite Horror hero: That would probably be Michael (Jake Weber) from the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead; The variable "Jack of Trades, Master of None" character of the film. He got's a crappy personal life (sans his blooming relationship with Ana, Sarah Polley's character) and can't seem to hold down one job, but is absolutely dependable in a pinch with his quick thinking and planning. He is often regarded as the unofficial leader of the Crossroads Mall Group.

If you were in a horror movie, would you be the villain, the friend, or the hero?: Probably the friend, I can't see myself as the hero of the tale, bearing so much responsibility of whatever situation on my shoulders. Damned if I don't try to keep everyone else alive, though with my ideas of my own :D.
Describe your death scene: Running for my life, preferably distracting the enemy so the other can escape, until I find something to use as a Kamikaze Weapon against my enemy (assuming I last that song).

Do you read horror themed magazines? If so, which ones? I read Fangoria Magazine from time to time, but not much else. I'm pretty sure Frequently BD (Bloody Disgusting).com, STYD (Shock Till you Drop).com, and HorrorMovies.ca don't count as reading a "magazine" =D, but they do help me keep up with Horror movie news regardless.

Other fandoms: MEDIUM, SUPERNATURAL, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Journyman, American Gothic, Xena: Warrior Princess, 6Teen, Total Drama Island/Action, X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, BTVS and ANGEL, Firefly (Serenity), Resident Evil (movies/games), MARVEL Comics, DC Comics, R.O.D. THE TV, Ghost Whisperer, Kurt Russell Movies, Digimon: Digital Monsters, Uncharted (Drake's Fortune/Among Thieves), Heavenly Sword and other things I can't think of right now.
Locked, public, both? Unlocked. My Journal is basically a housing for my graphics and fanfiction. I really don't post anything personal concerning my life and friends online.

Anything else?:
Nothing I can think of, nope.

Summary: FAIRY TALES DO COME TRUE - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a series of odd murders that strangely resemble fairytales and urban legends. The brothers track down an 11-year-old boy named Jesse (guest star Gattlin Griffith) and realize that whatever Jesse believes is coming true. Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam and Dean that Jesse is a serious threat and needs to be eliminated. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin (#506).

Rating: R (Violence and Sexuality)
Description: My first sucessfully excuted and saved music video for MEDIUM. About five years ago I attempted to make one, my first one, but alas nothing ever came of it (stupid computer problems), so I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. The inspiration for this video comes from watching Lost Highway and listening to Nine Inch Nails' "The Perfect Drug" a million times over. Sufficed to say, I ended up doing a major seasonal montage instead of that sweet Joe/Allison video I had my heart set on. Regardless, I hope you enjoy this.

Yet another product of something I did during my vacation from LiveJournal (and the internet). There are my first batch of sucessful .GIF animations and all six of them are from the premiere episode of MEDIUM's Sixth Season (see subject header for title 'cause I'm tired of writing it). I've also made some Screencaps, but unforntunately I don't have a premium account on any of the Uploading Websites that allow one to Upload .ZIP Files over 100MB and unforntuately, they all range from 124MB to 423MB. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternate places to upload the screencaps, 'cause I would love to hear them. WARNING: May not be friendly to those with a slow connection or Dial-Up.

During my unexpected Hiatus, I managed to finally get around to finishing my Joe Dubois Icon set, whilst creating another great batch of MEDIUM Icons. Sufficed to say, I think I've managed to find a balance between the high RED and GREEN contrast of the Season One and Two Screencaps of MEDIUM I used via [info]piaresquare(as per the usual). I hope you enjoy these, I put a lot of hard work into them. There is a total of 44 Icons. Enjoy the eyecandy!

32 Icons from the 2005 South Korean romantic film, Jenny, Juno, written and directed by Kim Ho-joon. Alot of people, mostly the fans of this little known film, will go out of their way to try to say that Diablo (of JUNO and recent Jennifer's Body fame) plagiarized (or "ripped off" if you wanna get nasty) the entire film's premise, but Cody claims to have had no knowledge of this film until the hype around her film JUNO (2007) came out and I'm inclined to believe her.

Honestly, the only two things either movies have in common is the name "Juno" and both principal female characters happen to end up pregnant with their boyfriends babies. Other than, both films are as different as night and day. Anywho I managed to catch this film on YouTube and loved it to pieces, its a shame its not available for sale here in the USA, I would love to own it.

I Love you Jenny! )
